Kimberly Wiggins
County Trustee
Kimberly Wiggins was born into an entrepreneurial family in the small West Tennessee
town of Brownsville. Her parents supported an extended family while
starting their own small businesses, including a TV station and real estate
company.
After
graduating from Haywood High School where she was a varsity cheerleader and
voted most school spirit, she attended Lambuth University. She holds her
Bachelor of Science degree. After college she began a career in retail
management then onto banking.
Since
March 2000, she has served in a variety of financial services management
positions including branch manager, private client manager, financial advisor
and regional manager. In addition to leadership in traditional banking
services, she also gained experience in wealth management and investments as a
licensed broker/dealer. Most recently she served as Regional Manager for
Capital Bank where she oversaw consumer banking for 32 branches in Middle Tennessee.
In 2011,
while working full-time, she earned her Master of Business Administration
(M.B.A.) from Bethel University. Since then, she has served in the part-time
adjunct facility of University of Phoenix where she taught Essentials of
Finance and Finance for Business.
In 2016,
Kimberly took a break from banking to focus on business development for Wiggins
Medical Transit, the business she co-founded with her husband O’Neal in 2012.
Born from the personal experience of her father-in-law’s stroke, the company
focuses on transporting elderly and disabled clients to medical, family and
personal appointments with faster than industry response times.
Since
moving to Middle Tennessee in 2009, Wiggins has been recognized for her civic
involvement and professional coaching and mentoring skills. A former Nashville
ATHENA award nominee, she is actively involved in Cable and the Music City
Chapter of Links, both Nashville-area women’s leadership & entrepreneurial
organizations. She is a graduate of both the 2018 Leadership Clarksville
and Leadership CMCSS (Clarksville Montgomery County School System) programs and
is a member of the Clarksville Human Relations Commission.
She is
involved in many civic advisory roles, including, TN Achieves/TN Promise
Mentor, Customs House Museum Guild, Clarksville YMCA Advisory Board, APSU
Center of Excellence for Creative Arts Advisory Board, Clarksville Rotary Club,
Roxy Regional Theater Board and APSU Candlelight Ball Committee. Kimberly
resides in Clarksville with her husband O’Neal, a retired U.S. Army Master
Sergeant.
Wiggins
was elected Montgomery County Trustee in August 2018.
