CRSC Claims and Appeals
At the Montgomery County Veterans Service Office (MCVSO), our mission is to connect veterans with the best resources available. We are proud to refer veterans to the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) for assistance with Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) claims through their Lawyers Serving Warriors® (LSW) program.
About CRSC
Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) is a program that provides tax-free compensation to eligible retired veterans with combat-related disabilities, aiming to restore some of the military retirement pay lost due to VA disability compensation deductions. To qualify, veterans must be entitled to retired pay from a military service branch, either through 20 years of service or medical retirement, and receive disability compensation from the VA. Pursuing a CRSC appeal can help restore valuable retirement pay, offering crucial financial support for veterans and their families. NVLSP reviews each applicant’s military service records, VA disability ratings, and other relevant documents to determine eligibility and provide tailored legal assistance. This dedicated support can make a significant difference in securing CRSC benefits.
